We met Russ Cronk at a music festival in Florence, CO this summer. He was there to photograph another band, but during our set he took a few shots of us, and offered to trade a 15 minute photo shoot for a CD. Great trade! We just went around the corner and found a kinda funky old store front and Russ shot some photos.

It so happens that we’d been thinking about some new photos since Ryan had just returned from Sweden, and Mike’s beard had taken on ever glowing levels of whiteness in recent weeks. Funny thing about this particular set of photos is that we were at the end of four shows in three days, were a little haggard, and seemed to enjoy relaxing into a photo shoot–something I assure you, we’d never done before. Russ had a great camera, a great eye, and a great vibe to make folks comfy.

These shots are featured on our new posters and postcards, and likely will appear on other FY5 stuff. All this great art happens just from a friendly interaction at a music festival.
